I’ve waited to write this and don’t know where to start. We walked into a room with no duvet cover, just a dirty insert, a piece of sew-in weave hair on the ground, missing drinks from the fridge, and a very moldy shower curtain. We let them know but it was never remedied. Not good. They offered to buy us dinner but were so understaffed, and using paper tickets, so we got tired and went elsewhere. Then came screaming seagulls being fed outside DAILY at 5 am, then the 4 am fire alarm that evacuated us all night 2, but was never explained. They also didn’t tell us that you have to press a tiny black dot to lock your room, so it was open the entire time. Safe! The staff was nice but they come in too late and they overbook for the staff they do have. All hospitality went out the window! Cups upstairs were visibly dirty, they only offer cheap Keurig coffee, and it was just a huge let down for us. If you have allergies, whoever renovated this place is inexperienced. There’s cracked grout and uneven tile all through the shower, and the shower head sprays directly onto improperly sealed original windows. Talk about a mold bomb lurking behind those walls. It was NOT a five-star experience, which was my reason for moving us here, but we should’ve stayed at the Hawthorne. With more staff and attention to detail, this could’ve been nice. I was also charged for the missing drinks, and overcharged by $100 in taxes. They got it back to me, but it took several calls. Don’t expect high-end!
