It was a very nice little cabin, perfect for my husband and me. I loved the little closed in porch with the table and chairs. I was quiet and peaceful now in September. It was clean and convenient to hiking and the Cog railroad

Room was run down and not taken care of. Drains in the shower, sink in bathroom and the kitchen all would clog immediately upon running the water. we didn’t shower for this reason. They definitely could take better care of the place in our rating would have been better.

Weekend get away

I was in the area for work and wanted something a little different from the chain hotels. The cottage was nice for the weekend and the white mountains are close for hikers. The cottage was far from new but it was clean and quiet. Met some friendly folk in the next cottage and enjoyed conversation around the fire each day.

Waste of money

Very average place, definately inappropriate rating that hotels.com shows.Person above 5.5 would not be able to use shower. Overall very old place and could use better customer service and a lot of renovation. There is no place for grilling, they supply tiny grill that is attached to parking, so you either park or grill and burn your car.

What a dump!

We chose this place based on reviews and ratings. Now I don't trust hotels.com because they gave it 3.5 stars. I will never stay there again. It was a tidied up 60s cottage. They have not updated it since then. The carpet was so old and creepy I wouldn't take my shoes off. The bathroom was tiny. The shower was tiny and creepy with a shower curtain and extremely old interior. The towels were also left over from the sixties. We chose not to take showers. The bed was somewhat comfortable however I didn't trust it so I slept completely clothed on top of the sheets with my own pillows. What a dreadful experience! The man in charge was nice enough, but we won't be back.

Place was a real Dump. My accommodations was for a cottage and ended up with a motel room. Half the lights worked in the room. The shower was so small I could not use it. The bathroom is tiny. The toilet is the size used in elementary school. The whole establishment is way outdated.

Recommended Affordable motel

Nice property close to trail head. Clean and comfortable. Good value for money. Definitely not a 3.5 star property but a good 2 or 2.5 star motel. An additional bath towel to the single small one in the unit would have been nice. But overall would definitely consider staying again.
