"I just got back from a 4-night stay at Riu Jambo, and honestly, if you’re looking for that postcard-perfect Zanzibar turquoise water, this is the spot. But like any big resort, there are a few things you should know before you book.
The Location & Beach (10/10) This is the absolute highlight. Since it’s located in Nungwi, the tide doesn't go out for miles like it does on the East Coast. You can actually swim in the ocean all day long. The beach is pristine, and the sunsets from the jetty bar are probably the best I’ve ever seen. Pro tip: Head to the "See You" bar on the jetty around 5:30 PM to snag a seat for sunset.
The Food & Drinks For an all-inclusive, the food was surprisingly good. The main buffet (Maisha) has a massive variety, but it can feel a bit like a "canteen" during peak hours because it gets very loud and busy.
The Speciality Restaurants: We tried the Asian (Yunnan) and the Italian (Il Panzotto). The Italian place on the jetty is a must—the atmosphere is way more intimate than the buffet.
Drinks: They don’t stingy with the drinks, and the cocktails are decent, though sometimes a bit sugary.
The Rooms We had a lateral sea view room. It was modern, super clean, and the AC worked like a charm."
"
Absolutely blown away by this stunning hotel! The spacious, spotless room exceeded our expectations, and the culinary experience was nothing short of spectacular – every bite was a delight! The staff were total pros, going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable – super polite, incredibly accommodating, and genuinely cared about our needs. Seriously, 10/10 would recommend!"
"Restaurant at Sanna is amazing and has great views of Arusha. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious ans large, and the proximity to everything is shocking. "
"
My stay at four points by Sheraton dar es salaam was short but the staff was very accommodating. They graciously allowed me a late checkout because I had a later flight and I couldn’t be more grateful. Will definitely stay when next I come to Tanzania. "
"Beautiful quiet room close by the noisy Tanzania CBD. Bath water is a bit murky, other than that the service and facilities can be considered top notch in Dar es Salaam"
