"Good hotel at a decent price. Gabriel at the front desk checked us in and made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms are comfortable and have balconies. Interestingly the shower and toilet are part of the room, with frosted glass doors for privacy. Traffic was a bit loud but calmed down at night. There is a security guard posted through the evening/night. Our room had a view of Christ the Redeemer."

"I liked Vanessa, the front desk girl I checked in with. But this hotel cost me a lot more than it should have, even with Carnaval going on. The rock hard bed and pillow caused issues with my back, shoulders, neck and jaw. The door doesn't lock from the inside from what I saw. It was quieter than other places I stayed in and in a good location though. The AC system doesn't work properly, so my room was either too hot or too cold (when it was on)"

"A hotel in the middle of Rio Cinelandia district and in walking distnce to the Theatro Municipal. The cost is very reasonable for the location but the Hotel could do with some serious upgrading, airconditioners were extremely old and so noisy that we slept without the unit on and only used it when we were awake in the room. "The hotel was clean and comfortable, but it is old. Elevators take a long time. My bathroom kept backing up and leaking. Door would jam shut and I had to be shown by staff the “trick” to get door open. Which implies it’s a known issue they are not looking to fix any time soon. The rooms can be noisy from street traffic through the day and night. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"It's a great hotel for the location. Near Cinelandia and Lapa, short ride to several businesses, consulates and Santos Dumont airport. Perfect view of the Sugar Loaf mountain from the rooftop by the pool. Staff was attentive and helped with what they could. However during my stay, the boiler broke down and there was no hot water for several hours into the night, so no hot shower that day. I also was shocked they didn't have a proper business center (with a "business " name and everything). TV only had local channels and awful signal, so couldn't even check/watch some of the World Cup. Wifi was a hit or miss, often only working in the lobby area. 2 elevators and one was under repairs, so 1 elevator for 19 floors, I was using the stairs often. Breakfast was excellent. If they fixed whatever wasn't working during my stay, it's a great hotel."
