Terrible odor

Most of the staff were excellent and the room was visually appealing but the room had a horrendous smell. It was a very strong musty spell. We notified staff and they sent maintenance right up to inspect. They identified leaking around the ac unit in the ceiling and changed the air filter. It did help slightly for a few hours along with all the windows open but it persisted through out the stay.

We enjoyed our recent stay at 21 Broad. The location is perfect and quiet. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Unfortunately our room had a mildew/moldy smell to it which was pretty powerful and made it hard to relax.

21 Broad is a boutique hotel in an old 1800s home which has been renovated to modern standards. We totally enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located in the midst of everything you need and within walking distance of the ferry, dining and shopping. Would highly recommend.

The location is excellent. The room was just too small. I personally do not like a pocket door as my bathroom door (especially when it won't stay closed). Breakfast was sophisticated but cold/room temperature and would have liked an option for a warm breakfast (like the quiche or the croissant). Staff very friendly and helpful. Very nice outdoor seating/eating area.

The staff is great! The morning breakfast is wonderful. They have an open coffee bar , very convenient . Great location. Just make sure when you book a room, it’s not located across from the coffee bar. Rooms near the coffee bar are subjected to noise and lots of it ! Bathroom towels also a little stained and beat up looking. Other than that, good stay and would have been a great stay if our room was in another location.

Loved every minute of our stay.

What an awesome stay! Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was Very small. It was too warm in the room but we couldn’t control the temperature. I prefer it to be a little cooler when I sleep. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great. We weren’t spending much time in the room so it was fine. The host was always cooking something in the kitchen. Cookies, cinnamon buns, croissants. There was always a delicious spread of food and snacks to enjoy. At certain times of the day she puts out mixers so you can supply your alcohol and use her mixers to enjoy a drink. Such a cute idea! In the evening we sat on the comfortable sofas and relaxed and enjoyed a drink with our adult children. Breakfast was continental but excellent. Top notch. We enjoyed our coffee on the beautiful backyard sofa area. It was a beautiful day and the space was very peaceful and relaxing. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend 21 Broad to anyone.

The picture of the room I paid for was not even close to what the picture showed! It was a 10x10 room. The bed took up the entire space. The room was slanted and the towels were so l old, rough and gray! The people there were very polite and nice. I immediately went to the desk and showed the woman the room I booked and paid for. She really had nothing to say! Sorry! I booked the room in January for over 1200.00 a night maybe more and she just said “no that’s the room you paid for, not the one in the picture!” I said how would I have known that? She blamed Expedia for falsifying the picture! Never to make eye contact again with me ! What a scam somewhere -the hotel, Expedia or both. The rooms are 60.00 a night like they used to be when it was the Nesbit inn! You got what you paid for! A real scam
