The good: the lady who checked us in was so friendly and allowed us to check-in early. It felt quite safe and overall cleanliness was good considering this place has “Bates Motel” energy.
The bad: the air con in the room works, but it is incredibly noisy. Even though we didn’t have ours on for this reason, every time the next door room’s AC kicked in, it was noticeably loud. There’s no safe in the room, which wouldn’t be a problem, but the door lock is a traditional twist-pin which doesn’t feel secure enough.
The ugly: If this place had comfy beds, then I could look past the more-old-than-retro styling. The mattress really needs changing - you sit on the bed and can feel the divan underneath you. When lying down, your head is actually lower than your feet because it’s so saggy.
All of this combined with our stay costing $206 for one night, feels very expensive for what you get.
