While the room was beautiful, very large and well-maintained, and reception was trying hard to do a good job, although not sufficient for a hotel of this reputation, the restaurant was clearly sub-standard. The table which had been reserved for us, was given to another guest, the restaurant manager offered us a complimentary drink, an offer which we accepted by asking for one glass of MCC each. Later one of the two was added to the bill, which we questioned. When we paid at reception the next day, it turned out that the value had been reduced from the tip - very unfair.
To leave the light on in the room after turn down service is 20th century and not acceptable in a country with load-shedding …
