Another wonderful stay at Cheval Three Quays

My husband and I spent another comfortable night at Cheval Three Quays, this time in a lovely studio apartment with river view - very spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Ideal for a visit to the Royal Opera House without having to face a late night train journey afterwards. It was equally conveniently located for a visit to the Tower of London next morning to view the marvellous VE Day poppy displays

Staying next to the Tower of London was amazing. It was also easy to access transportation to connect to other areas of the city via the Underground or the Uberboat. Spacious and well-kept room with plenty of room for a family of four.

Best place for a family to stay in London

We booked for the location and the 2 bedrooms. My family was extremely pleased with the level of appointment of the apartments. It was well stock in all things. We only required to get our own food. The space of the apartments was superb, with roomy common area and decent sized bedrooms (king and 2 twin beds). The views from the apartment were remarkable, looking out over both the Tower of London and Tower bridge from both our eating area and the various balconies. The hotel staff was courteous and it had easy access to both Tube and boat for transportation around London. One of the best hotels we have stayed at in our of our travels.

We enjoyed the layout and location of the property but had some difficulties with the operation of the microwave and the lack of a frying pan and the difficulties with maintenance in repairs and the failure to provide a pan at all. Also, supermarket shopping was not close by and car parking is expensive during normal workdays.

We're a family of 4 with two teenagers and stayed in a 2-bedrom Superior Apartment at Cheval Three Quays. For the price we paid, it was a little disappointing. Decor is a little dated and it lacked a bit of the finesse you expect from a 5-star property. That said, it was clean, spacious and the beds/pillows were comfortable. Being right next to the 1,000-year old Tower of London was pretty special. Location was okay - close to restaurants including St Katherine docks and a walk across London Bridge to Burrough Markets, but there's one road in and out so it takes ages to get anywhere by car. The area is safe and the building is secure. We probably wouldn't stay here again unless we got a super deal.
