We were a party of 4 ladies with 2 rooms booked for 2 nights paid for in full with cancellation insurance cover included. This was booked & confirmed on Hotels.com 24hrs before arrival at the hotel. Whilst on the Hotel.com site to seek 2x double rooms the Maiden City Hotel only had 2 rooms available’ 2 x 3 bed rooms. Booking was confirmed & I received a receipt for full payment. On arrival the hotel only had one 3 beded room available. They had arranged a camp bed in the room for the 4th guest which required a further payment of £80 in total for 2 nights. This was paid in cash at checkout on Sunday 1 Feb. At hotel reception we were informed the balance for payment was zero ( which was correct as it had been paid for in advance) but full payment was for 2 rooms for 2 nights and we only got 1. At no time did the hotel inform us of breakfast times etc so none of the party had breakfast of any description on either of the 2 days. I need to know how I go about obtaining a refund for the room we didn’t get. Please advise or send me contact details to request the refund.
