I checked into the York Hotel Legacy in Delhi on February 4th 2026, I
arrived at around 5pm and was intending to stay for 2 nights. Initially they
couldn't find my reservation but eventually they did, after being told that it
was still being cleaned I was escorted to my room at about 6pm. On arrival
to the room it had no window to the street, it was not the room I requested.
It did have one small window on the other side of the room but this lead to
a disgusting services area that was filthy, dark and full of wiring, I could not
get the shutters closed again and was worried about rats. I was not given a
key, I was asked to wait in the room while they found one but the bus boy
was able to blatently let himself in with the master key. There was also no
latch on the inside of the door to stop them coming in whenever they
wished. I complained and was moved to the room I booked but it was not
very clean and by that stage I was no longer feeling safe so I moved back
to the hotel I had been in previously. I was refused a refund through
Hotels.com. Also, the advertisement for the York Legacy states that there
is a 24 hour airport shuttle, onsite spa services and full breakfast, none of
which is true.
