10/10 Excellent

The sea and nature around the island is beautiful. The resort was child friendly. We had an excellent time.
Luke, 3-night trip

8/10 Good

The island is amazing for a few days away. A little makeover of the rooms and some comfortable bedding would make Fitzroy Island Resort a must do destination. Staff are brilliant.
Peter, 4-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The location was amazing, snorkelling the reef, hiking the tracks and relaxing in the sun. The staff were amazing !
Angela C, 4-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Very relaxing and peaceful, Snorkeling, swimming just on your doorstep. Loads of fish and a surprise turtle snorkel amongst you.
graham, 10-night trip

6/10 Okay

Snorkelling is amazing and staff at dive shop very friendly and helpful. Staff at reception were mixed some helpful and friendly. Tried to change room but told not available when I could see availability on line which was disappointing. Food very limited for vegetarians but ok and expensive.
Susan, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Great stay for a couple of days, accommodation needs some updating (parts of the room were falling apart ie. broken tiles, sharp grout and dripping aircon). Some staff were amazing and some were very abrupt and unhelpful. The guided kayak tour was great, Sara was super lovely and just a really relaxing way to hang out on the way. Pool area is small and limited seating but drinks at the pool were great. Foxy’s has ok food but prices are pretty high, live music on a Saturday night is a good vibe. Overall a good short stay if you’re looking to just relax, snorkel and get away from winter.
Jennifer, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

This was quite of a surprise how nice this place is. The island is beautiful, end even though it’s a small resort you can still keep your self busy for 2-3 days. We enjoyed so much a couple of afternoon at the Frotzy Bar, having some drinks and enjoying the view/sunset. It’s nothing fun y but more than enough to relax and enjoy. The restauran was also amazing, good quality and great test. We got to meet one of the chef, a very your passionate cook!
Marcial, 3-night trip

4/10 Poor

Nudey Beach was great. Everything else not so much. 3pm check in, boat got in at 2:30. Room wasn’t available until 4pm. When we arrived to our room it was still dirty. Tried to push free drink cards to make up for the mess. The beds- terribly uncomfortable. The grounds around the resort smelled like sewage. Thought we would splurge and book a nice stay after staying in hostels. I’d take the hostel over this resort. The beach was great but you could do it all in a day without having to stay at this “resort.”
Stefanie, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Nice, isolated island resort which is a 45-minute ferry ride from Cairns. Had originally planned on staying three nights but changed to two prior to booking. The resort is an older property which, while clean and maintained, shows its age with some needed maintenance to return to (what I'm sure was) it's former island oasis status. The access to snorkeling and the great vigorous and scenic 4 km hike were the highlights of the resort. On the other, hand, the isolation and lack of alternative restaurants, made my decision to stay only two nights a good one. I was fortunate to have a spectacular sunset on my final evening. Overall, the resort, with the view from my room, the snorkeling access and invigorating hike with incredible views, was well worth a visit.
Wes, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Overall, the place was beautiful. Our room was mediocre - didn't realize we had reserved one without windows. The snorkeling was great across from the turtle center. Nudey beach is beautiful but the snorkeling there is not nearly as good.
1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Amazing nature, it’s a wonderful experience.
Gaia, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Beautiful resort, nice walking/hiking trails, great snorkeling ( saw tons of marine life). Good food at cafe and restaurant. Great tour options from there
Harold B, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

The experience was fine - definitely not the most hospitable experience, but it had the basics. I suppose the accommodation was inexpensive so you’re paying for what you’re getting. The island itself is beautiful and is worth visiting, especially to swim, snorkel, and hike.
Adeline, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

This place is a very casual, family friendly place to stay and explore, staff are very welcoming and love teaching the kids about the reef, And the surrounds, excellent hike up to the summit of the island, "7 and 10 year old got up" albeit, pack some water. Had a great stay and explored the island over 3 days and loved the experience.... Definitely coming back!
Jason, 3-night trip

6/10 Okay

The natural beauty of the island, the snorkelling from shore and the size of the suites are great. The resort itself is quite run down and needs a lot of TLC.
Rachel, 3-night trip

8/10 Good

I was very happy about the staff, very thoughtful. Special mention to Rodney and Rachel. I did overhear a conversation in Foxy’s, with a worker and tourist-unpleasant. Apart from that, everyone was amazing and the Electrician was very helpful too. Thank you -my son will not forget his birthday in a hurry. The Up-Grade was Really Appreciated.
Maureen, 7-night trip

8/10 Good

The property was remote and beautiful. It is a small, unpopulated tropical island that is a national park. There were very little food options at the two restaurants and no option to buy snacks or food. It was interesting that there was a full kitchen in the suite but no where to buy food to cook.
Suzanne, 5-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Beautiful relaxing place to stay Wish they had a day spa or massage available.
Rebecca Jane, 3-night trip

8/10 Good

Great resort on island. Read mixed reviews before booking but was happy with my stay in early May. On days I was there the Conditions were not great for snorkelling but there are daily activities you can do and I hiked all available trails. The lighthouse/summit track is very steep so was challenging but rewarding at top. Wifi was good but dropped one day so just asked reception for a new code and that worked. Friendly and helpful staff. Did turtle recovery centre tour and nature walk. Lovely pool area. Decent food at the bar area further away (forget the name). Beach was nice but beware scraping yourself on (dead or alive) coral! I agree with some reviews that they didn’t seem to advocate much environmental awareness (no recycling for example). A unique experience in a picturesque setting.
Emily, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

A beautiful island with ability to snorkel straight off the beach plus you can watch the whales passing by. Loved seeing all the turtles and fish on the coral.
