While the location right along the water is wonderful and we commend the new(ish) owners of the motel for all the changes, they have already done, our experience was pretty mixed. First of all, we booked a basic room that is shown as coming with a Queen's size bed. It turned out that the bed was a Double, which we didn't notice until after dinner. We are both tall, so it was a bit of an adjustment. Added to that, none of the rooms advertised on Expedia come with Double beds. Second, it wasn't possible to close the bathroom door. At all. The door is old and needs to at least be sanded down. Third, the room we were staying in was what I would call half renovated, not like in the pictures. This meant that there was an unusual sink in the bathroom but the shower stall is so small, if you're not particularly skinny, it will be hard to turn around and soap up in it. It was manageable for us but might be a problem for others. When we mentioned the first two points to the owner in the morning, we were offered some snacks from the shop for the inconvenience. That is nice but not the point (they also were in disbelief that it was not a Queen, which was odd). So - buyer beware.
