Don’t advertise a bar, if you don’t have one
Issues. The room smell of mould.
They advertise a bar and they don’t have one. And after ordering a meal, which was recommended to me by the waiter, 45 minutes later, I was told it did not have that meal.
when travelling in Central Java, everybody has to realise that some hotels and many venues do not want to serve alcohol. And I fully respect this.
Therefore, when selecting a hotel, I choose one that has a bar and a lounge, or at least one of the above.
So this hotel advertises that they have both a bar in the lounge, and they even have it marked in the lifts and elevators if you’re from America. But they have neither
The Hotel staff did their best, and even went out of the way to go to a local venue that would sell beer and they could bring it back, but it just is not the same because you don’t want to then open a beer in front of people who obviously don’t want you drinking it.
I was choosing between the Novotel and this hotel, and as it happens the Novotel has a bar.
What really annoyed me was that the staff member said to me that a lounge did not necessarily mean a bar it was a place that people could lounge
Yet on there facilities, there is a martini glass. Putting aside the fact that a bar and a lounge means that there is alcohol to be had, a martini glass is an absolute admission that this should be on site.
Bottom line.
Don’t advertise that you have a bar if you don’t.
I feel very generous in, not giving you a more scathing review.
