Luxury but needs some tuning
Seems like a very new establishment. Everything is in beautiful brand new condition...except the elevator that was having trouble for some portion of both days we were visiting. Not a problem for us, but could easily have been an issue. We weren't told until we arrived that we might not have an elevator to get to our 3rd floor room. Most of the time we took the stairs since the elevator only worked sporadically and it was marked out of order at check-out.
The bar staff was friendly and it was a nice quiet place to enjoy the beginnings of a weekend away. They made wonderful cocktails and helpful recommendations. We liked the ambiance so much we came back for dinner to Olio, which was even better than expected. And reasonably priced for such a nice dinner!
Valet only parking was an annoyance, especially when requesting your car didn't result in the car being brought all the way to the entrance. If I'm forced to pay for valet, I shouldn't have to also walk a distance to the car. Perhaps a young attendant. Our attendant at check-out did it right.
The room looked out on the train tracks so sound machine and earplugs were provided, which made us a little nervous, but we didn't hear a train at all and both slept soundly. The rain shower is fantastic, but a little small. Robes are provided, but not slippers. Overall a beautiful place I wouldn't mind coming to again (to try the spa), but they could use a little help making it a truly luxurious stay to match the look of the place.
