Unfortunately, my stay at this apartment hotel in São Paulo was very disappointing, despite the building and apartment being new and modern.
At check-in, the apartment was extremely dirty: hairs on the cushions, stained and dirty pillows, dirty floors, and visible dirt stains inside the shower box. The bathroom was also infested with drain flies, which made the stay unpleasant and unhygienic. There were clear dirt stains on the carpet, reinforcing the lack of proper cleaning.
Another serious issue was the security gate at the entrance. It appeared to be broken or tampered with, and initially there was no way to exit the building. No instructions were given at check-in. Only later did we discover—by trial and error—that the exit required using the intercom. It was unclear whether this was a malfunction or maintenance issue, creating unnecessary stress and a sense of insecurity.
I contacted the hotel through the booking platform to complain about the cleanliness and overall experience, but I received no response at all. No explanation, no apology, and no compensation were offered.
This property clearly relies on remote reception to cut costs, but this approach fails when basic communication, cleanliness, and guest support are missing. I felt uncomfortable and disgusted staying here and do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
