We stayed at Hotel Hamilton Agadir for five days. Unfortunately, upon arrival we didn’t feel welcomed. We had to wait around until we spoke to reception to start the check-in. I understand they are under stress, but being welcoming is part of the job, and this was missing throughout our stay.
The room wasn’t very clean, and there was a noticeable smell of chemicals. The toilet felt disgusting and wasn’t cleaned properly, which was very disappointing for me, my wife, and our seven-year-old daughter. Sheets weren’t changed daily unless we asked. Despite the hotel knowing we were three people, they didn’t provide an extra pillow even after we asked three times.
On the positive side, night staff Ismail was very helpful and kind. Excursions at the hotel were excellent—Ayyub, in particular, was very helpful and had great rates. The pool was nice, and the hotel is cheap for a quick getaway.
Parking can be tricky due to a nearby club, and although it’s advertised as free, attendants sometimes ask for money. The 200 MAD refundable deposit for the ironer seemed excessive.
Overall, it’s a budget-friendly option with helpful staff like Ismail and Ayyub, but cleanliness, welcoming service, and parking logistics could be improved.
