This is not a picture-postcard villa with glorious views in the heart of town. It's a super-clean, well-managed, airy, Best Western with free parking, helpful staff, good restaurant, free internet, and fine breakfast, 10 minutes by car from Lucca and a good jumping-off base for driving to other sites in the area. Good value for the money.
The Palazzo Alexander is the most accommodating place we stayed at on our trip. Mario is a true gentleman who is a wealth of information. This is a great hotel in a lovely town.
I booked Room 1. The canopy bed and the fresco on the ceiling created a lovely atmosphere. You can see the street from the window and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the restaurants at night, but if you close the inner window, you won't be bothered by conversations. The breakfast was also delicious, and I was very satisfied.
My stay was amazing. The hotel is clean and the staff very nice and friendly. Always happy to help. On my last day they tried to secure a taxi to take me to the airport but there was none available so one of the hotel staff left his post to give me a ride to the airport so I wouldn’t miss my flight. He didn’t have to but he did. I was really grateful.
Will definitely be staying here when next I visit and will definitely recommend this place
loved our stay. easy walk to the train station; a longer walk (but still easy) to the airport. Arrived just before midnight and our reserved room was waiting for us. Breakfast is worth the extra cost as it is very good and filling. Everyone we dealt with spoke English. Room was clean; bathroom was large and clean.
Great hotel with a Michelin restaurant in a very walkable location! Friendly, helpful staff! I just stayed here for a full week and by the end of my stay the staff felt like old friends.
Breakfast is a large spread including everything you could want. Hotel is quiet, elegant and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
Hotel is old a little dated but the room was clean and the area had a couple of restaurants and a supermarket about 10 minute walk . Lots of parking available. Breakfast was not my favorite but they offered free breakfast. Leaning Tower of Pisa is about 10 minutes by car. Not much to do in that town other than seeing the tower and many restaurants and shops in that area.
The best location in Pisa the hotel is very pretty old historic the personnal at the frentdisk speak good english and very friendly
If you like watches a lot of salesman arround of copy watches but you must bargain and offer only 20% of asking price

The hotel was beautiful, the breakfast buffet was excellent, with many choices of food. The location of the hotel was perfect, we were able to walk to everything.
What a surprise. Ignore the reviews. This is not a Marriott, nor should you be after one whilst staying in Italy. What this is is a delightful Italian hotel with incredible staff, Italian styled rooms and an incredible spa.
Breakfast also wonderful. Take the train up to old town and you'll have a wonderful evening
