Alnwick Lodge
8/10 Good
"Very quirky. It’s a marmite property, love it or hate it. We loved it staying in this renovated property that had many of its original features. Most rooms were on the ground floor overlooking a square courtyard. Unfortunately we had to climb some steel stairs to our spacious old fashioned room which was difficult with my disabilities. We would though go again because of its uniqueness."
The Hog's Head Inn - The Inn Collection Group
10/10 Excellent
"Little Gem at the side of the A1 Alnwick I would definitely the recommend the Hoteland the restaurant is awesome great food"
The Oaks Hotel
8/10 Good
"Very comfortable bed we slept well and good shower. There was an unpleasant smell not sure what was causing it but everything else was good. We ate in the bar due to the rain and staff were very friendly and food portions enormous."
Hope and Anchor Hotel
8/10 Good
"Stayed for 3 nights in a comfortable room. On one occasion, the room was not cleaned and the milk and tea bags were not replenished. Lovely breakfast. Evening meals in the restaurant were excellent and very reasonably priced."
Bailiffgate Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"It was an excellent hotel with friendly staff"
The Garden Rooms
10/10 Excellent
"As soon as we arrived, it was pretty clear where we needed to go to check in. We were in awe with the place, such detail and characteristics. We would definitely recommend visiting Newton Hall for its bar and with reception inside that was 24hours, there was always someone on hand for any questions you may have had. The room/ cabin itself was pretty nice and had all essentials you need to store milk in little fridge or make a brew. The room and the bathroom were very clean and loved the attention to detail with charm and character. You could even buy a s’mores kit while using a small safe fire outside which we did under a blanket of stars. The place was local to seaside, some cafes and restaurants and food is delicious. If you are driving I’d recommend the tourist places like Alnwick and seaside for fish and chips. Food can buy pricey though in your typical tourist hotspots so be mindful of this. If staying at the cabin bit, there are nice walks and wildlife surrounding the area which is nice to see, hot tubs are a must if relaxing and the staff are very friendly and helpful if needed. After the amazing experience we had, we’d definitely go back and explore other areas in Northumberland."
The Plough
