What a little gem, lovely room, really cosy with great facilities and lovely bed. Great shower, and a big bath. The restaurant service is excellent, but make sure to book as even on a Monday night the place was packed out. Great friendly staff, so we’re really pleased we booked a stay here.

I loved the room which my son adored especially with the special touch of the bunk bed and loved the fact that it was all wood and stone and not plastic like most new "cabins". Loved everything, I wish we had stayed longer

We instantly relaxed and felt at home here. It was lovely having a hot tub and private garden, and the food in the pub was amazing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

Room Bill Bags Cape needed a bit of TLC but viewed other rooms which looked bright & airy. We would definitely go back however choose a different room. Breakfast was delicious & good choice. We had 2 evening meals which we enjoyed. Staff were excellent, very helpful in every way.

We had a lovely stay; the staff were all great but the kitchen extractor fan started at 7 a.m. and was so loud it woke us up. We would still return in future but we would avoid the Sebastia room.

Staff really stood out! They were lovely and helpful. I messaged to say we were arriving before check-in so would there be anywhere we could get changed/leave our bags so they did our room first to ensure we could get in it on arrival! Breakfast was tasty with actually nice vegan bacon and the room was incredible with a gorgeous bath!

A wonderful stay in this beautiful location. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable, friendly and efficient staff throughout. We had a warm welcome and a simple check in, our room was ready on time and it was a great, characterful space. Wonderful Temple Spa toiletries to try, soft and comfortable mattress for a great, peaceful night's sleep. We were in a room next to the pub, did not hear any noise at all, with parking right outside. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, lots of hot and cold options to suit all requirements, served up again by a friendly and efficient team. We ate in the pub, the fish and chips are out of this world, but on this visit we tried the seafood platter, which was excellent. Lots of different options, the food coming from the kitchen all looked wonderful and the place was very busy - I would recommend booking a table if you are planning to eat here, or you may be disappointed! All in all, 10 out of 10 and we will be back just as soon as we are able, bringing our pooch with us, as the place and the people here welcome dogs warmly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Quirky accommodation..food and facilities great but the hot tub was too cold to use so we were disappointed we couldn't use it as was the main reason I booked the shepherds hut..otherwise would book again

My only suggestion would be a toilet brush in the bathroom. I can never understand why they are not in every bathroom.
