Top neighborhoods in Paris

Marais
Art galleries, upscale restaurants, and museums abound in this fashionable area, with notable attractions like the Picasso Museum and Centre Georges Pompidou. Stroll along rue des Rosiers, a hub for the Paris Jewish community, offering bookshops and kosher food.

Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Home to the École des Beaux-Arts and Musée national Eugène Delacroix, this Parisian quarter boasts iconic cafés like Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore. Easily accessible via Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Mabillon metro stations.

Latin Quarter
Brimming with student life, the area boasts a lively atmosphere and numerous bistros, while being home to prestigious institutions like Sorbonne University and Collège de France.

Montmartre
Perched atop Paris's highest hill, Montmartre charms visitors with its village-like atmosphere and artistic soul. Cobblestone streets wind past the magnificent Sacré-Cœur Basilica, while artists still set up easels in lively Place du Tertre. This historic neighborhood has inspired countless painters, from Van Gogh to Picasso, and that creative energy remains palpable today. Cozy cafés and traditional bistros serve up authentic French cuisine between quirky boutiques and hidden art studios. Most attractions are walkable, though the steep streets might have you grateful for the funicular that glides up the hillside. Metro stations Abbesses and Anvers connect you easily to the rest of Paris when you're ready to explore beyond this bohemian haven.

Opéra
Paris's Opéra neighborhood is home to attractions such as Palais Garnier and Galeries Lafayette.

Hotel de Roubaix
"Really cozy hotel with amazing staff. Location is perfect as it’s very walkable and near metro station."
L’Hôtel du Collectionneur Paris
"Excellent, well-maintained property. For Sabbath observing Jews, the property is within 10/15 minute walking distance to the Chabab on Champs-Elysées, easy to get to/from meals. The staff is quite helpful about buzzing us into our rooms and keeping food in the Hotel fridges. The spa is an undiscovered gem, one the best in all of Paris. Book a massage or facial if you have the time and you won’t regret it. The only drawback to the entire experience is the state of the hot water in the shower. Sometimes the temperature will change unexpectedly and so we ended up needing to adjust the water a number of times during the shower. Most likely due to the design of the water piping that brings water to various collection points on the floor before being distributed to individual rooms."
Citadines Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris
"I loved the location of the property. It felt very comfortable . We stayed in the ground floor and the room was a good size . The flooring of the room was carpet and it felt dirty . I wished they put laminate or tile."
Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile
"This hotel is such a gem. The ambiance is impeccable and the rooms are clean and spacious. There is a restaurant on site with good food and friendly staff. I wish we had a chance to stay longer than one night."
Novotel Paris Les Halles
"Great location. Good size rooms. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Can’t fault/ decent option as a base to explore Paris"
Le patio Bastille
"Lively neighborhood but calm location. Excellent staff. Clean room. Well working air conditioning."
Les Patios du Marais
"Great place to stay, on la Rambla. would definitely recommend."
Les Jardins du Marais
"I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris. This hotel has all the amenities an American would find comfortably staying anywhere in the US. Very well modernized, awesome air conditioning and large elevators!! The buildings are recently renovated. The staff spoke English, as well as French, if you’re trying to improve on your French. I highly want to highlight Johnathon, a staffer, who was very helpful throughout visit. Go and enjoy Les Jardins de Marais!"
ibis Paris Tour Eiffel Cambronne 15ème
"Great location for anyone on a budget. The metro is just across the street and there are so many good boulangeries nearby in case you don’t feel like getting the hotel breakfast. The only thing I didn’t like much was the lift only because you needed to use your card to access it."
