"This is a fantastic hotel in a great location. We loved the industrial vibe mixed with the coolness that is very Amsterdam. We’d definitely stay here again on our next stay."
"The location of the hotel was near transportation, restaurants and a grocery store. We walked to markets, Van Gough museum, and Heineken Experience. We even walked to the Centraal Station. The staff was very helpful."
"This property was so clean. It was updated and they definitely put a lot of effort into the design. The rooms felt much bigger due to the high ceilings. Only a 15 minute walk from the city center. "
"The room was amazing ! I would stay again and recommend it's a good base ! The service was amazing ! The front of house made It and the coffee on arrival was just what we needed ! Thank you for making a birthday a amazing ! We will be back !! "
"The staff were all friendly and welcoming and very helpful with local knowledge. The bars and restaurants nearby were exceptional and welcoming. Tram service to central Amsterdam was a 5 minute walk away. We will be visiting again. "
"Wow the staff here is so nice. They left me flowers in my room on my birthday. They will clean the room everyday unless you put up the Do Not Disturb sign. Breakfast includes eggs meat and cheese not just basic continental. Great central location. Loved it!"
"Clean room and great location. Pretty small and shower was very small but otherwise, nice stay. Would recommend if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and clean but not the most luxurious"
"3 star hotel with 5 star service, the staff made you feel special and always went beyond their normal duty to help in any way. They help us with a taxi service to and from the airport which was a good price. They kept our luggage safe as we had an evening flight. they were always happy and greeted you with a smile. We came as guest but left as friends. We are definitely coming back. The hotel is also in a perfect location to everything. Thank you"
"Quiet location but near the major museums and park. Small but friendly and pleasant. Key entry after 10pm. We enjoyed the clean and conformable room."
"Been Amsterdam 18 times. Hotel abba has taken top spot for my favourite hotel. Not extortionate with the price, cleanest, friendliest, and everything you need included. PERFECT location just outside centre, very quiet for Amsterdam."
"Sebastian at the front desk was welcoming, helpful and really good chat! He really made our stay. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to everywhere, and we were able to store our bags after check out. Free tea, coffee and soft drinks were well appreciated. Could do with a small bit of upkeep but perfectly fine for our one night stay."
"Room was small but tidy and comfortable, and everything was clean and in working order.
Breakfast was good and I was glad we added it on! It makes the rest of the day so much easier.
The staff was kind of passive aggressive sometimes, but I think that goes along with being Dutch?
Rental bikes were great!
Location was in a residential area, so lots of places to eat and drink and shop nearby, close to transit, really good all-around. Enjoyed it!"

I have stayed in several different hotels in Amsterdam. This is the best hotel for the average person -- noting I am sure there are some nicer hotels that would cost $400 a night. This hotel is perfectly located between the Museum Quarter, the old section, next to Rembrandt Square, very close to the mile long walking mall, near other great shopping streets. Walking distance to the Jordaan district which is my favorite area. The hotel provides first rate breakfasts that spare no expense. ...
All the rooms are different which makes them interesting. Comfortables beds, though pillows could be softer. Free bottle of champagne in suite was nice surprise. Loved the tea and pressed coffee set up in room for mornings or chilly afternoons. A steamer in the closet is better than ironing board. Room was quiet for outside noise, but some mechanical noises but not awful. Room service was good and Janz was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Area around hotel was great boutique shopping. Would...
Excellent choice if you don't want to overpay for a hotel near the city center. Clean, minimal and eco-friendly rooms, friendly staff and well-maintained facilities made our stay very pleasant. I would definitely stay there again!
My stay at this property was great. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, kind and welcoming. If needed, they helped in guiding visitors of what was in the city and gave great suggestions of great city sites. From check-in to service to amenities, the staff was professional. The location of the property is great as it is close to everything and within walking distance. The property is always clean and presentable.
An absolutely wonderful experience for a week long stay with a delightful staff who were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The new cafe downstairs that just opened was an added treat with amazing quiches and fresh pastries and juices. We highly recommend staying here as it is also located in a fantastic neighborhood with a lot of great places to eat nearby. Excellent property!!
Check in was easy, staff are helpful and very friendly.
Excellent location, a specialty grocery store next door with ready to eat food. Property is very clean and well keep. Highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel Espresso in Amsterdam was in an excellent location. It is very near to the Rijksmuseum, the MoCo, and Van Gogh Museum. It was reasonably priced, very clean and comfortable. The room itself was small but I don’t live in my hotel room. I just sleep there. We had a large bed and a good size bathroom. I think we got a better deal than our friends, who were staying at The Doubletree. To start each day, we had a good self serve breakfast every morning. The fresh tangerines were exceptional.

The place was interesting. It's in like an office building on the western edge of the historic downtown. It shares the space with another hotel, so it was ... unusual. It is not in the historic downtown. If you want to walk to Dam Square, it will take 30 minutes. Same for the train station. But it was very close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum (10 minutes each) and there is some good dining near there.
We would recommend it though. The room was very nice and HUGE. We stayed in...
This family run hotel was very accommodating to our needs. My family of three stayed on the second floor and our room was spotless. The staff was pleasant and assisted when we had questions about tours and directions. We stayed from 13-16 Feb. 2015. The breakfast was outstanding and is complimentary. Also the location is perfect for short walks to famous sites such as the Ann Frank house and museum. Canals are close for rides around the city. The price for this hotel is very reasonable. I would...
Our apartment had no noise reduction from the apartment above it, so unfortunately we heard the neighbors walking around upstairs all night/early morning.
