Stayed here while visiting Nikko. This is a single family home. What can we say. We loved the place. Very clean and safe. Bedroom upstairs more like a loft with 2 queen beds. One main restroom with the onsen and walk in shower. Also has the washer/dryer combo in place. Another restroom with toilet and small sink. There is 2nd restroom next to the kitchen area with toilet and sink. And a 3rd restroom by the main entrance with sauna and shower. Check in was relatively easy although we had to dial...
My wife and I just completed a delightful 2-day stay at this impeccable property. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The well-designed room was very comfortable and very reasonably priced. The bed was very comfortable as well. The shower had the best shower head we have ever experienced in any hotel ever! This was the perfect, quiet place to rest easy while visiting the nearby shrines and Tobu World Square. Highly recommended!
I should have booked 2 nights to really enjoy! Everything was excellent. My 1st time in Japan and this was lovely. Staff checking me in spoke great English.
I booked a huge tatami room and had a balcony overlooking the river. There is a turn-down service while you’re at dinner.
Buffet was fantastic and the whiskey was not watered down at all! Definitely try the sesame ball things for desert.
There are clear English instructions on how to use the onsens and an app that shows you how crowded...
Very easy to get to hotel from Limited express train. The breakfast buffet in the morning was wonderful. Of course the rooms are small and the beds a little hard - but for only 2 nights it was very close to all the attractions!
This place was a Mom & Pop operation with a very familial atmosphere. Ken and Ise were very welcoming and helpful with helping us get settled, finding our way around Nikko and just generally friendly and helpful. If you're interested in a more homey atmosphere vs. Corporate hotel this is the place for you
