Learn more about St. Johnsbury
Victorian curiosities await at the Fairbanks Museum, where the planetarium offers celestial escapes from small-town life. The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum combines art gallery and library in a building that feels delightfully frozen in time. Dog Mountain presents a uniquely Vermont experience – an art gallery and chapel dedicated entirely to man's best friend. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail cuts through landscapes so perfectly pastoral you'll wonder if they were arranged for your benefit. Maple Grove Farms offers tours where the process of turning tree sap into liquid gold seems like alchemy. Kingdom Trails provides mountain biking that attracts enthusiasts from across the Northeast, though locals still act surprised when you've heard of their little corner of Vermont.

Presidential Mountain Resort
"we were there off season and it was a very quiet place to stay..only stayed one night but in the summer this place would be great for families. the hostess was very pleasant and wanted our stay to be perfect."
Thayers Inn
"Nice old historic hotel. Rooms are cozy. Rooms close to the front have road noise. Good gathering areas to meet other guests. Restaurant in rear of hotel is very nice. Very friendly staff"

Cabot Inn & Suites

Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa
"Very clean resort and family oriented."
Best Western White Mountain Inn
"Our room was clean, parking was plentiful. The breakfast was good and included eggs. sausage, cereal, waffles, yogurt; although the area was very tight around the food. They have a laundry room, pool and limited workout area. My only complaint was the public bathroom by the pool and laundry area was filthy. Overall nice stay."
Gale River House - Boutique Hotel
"More that what we expected. Very spacious, clean, all the furnitures are new. We were a little confused when we arrived because the check-in needed to be done online. The owner came out to assist us. He showed us our cottage. The place is quiet. Highly recommend"
Rabbit Hill Inn
"When you imagine a perfect Vermont inn experience, The Rabbit Hill Inn checks all the boxes. From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming staff greets you, gives you some history of the Inn, and a tour, then shows you your beautiful room. The rooms have a classy New England charm, with attention to detail including snuggly robes, a magnifying lit mirror to put on makeup, and our room was appointed with a working fireplace. The breakfasts and dinner at 24 Carrot were fabulous, fresh, tasty, and again with attention to every detail. The staff consistently over delivered on service the whole stay, taking time to really get to know the guests. It is the quintessential Vermont inn venue!"
