Tälta Lodge, A Bluebird by Lark
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent location. Very helpful front desk team. Rooms were very nice, average size, but totally remodeled. The riverfront property is beautiful with plenty of drink chairs and a separate building to store your bikes. Great breakfast available across the street at the Hearthstone Cafe."
"Great little inn! The lobby area had space to relax, and I enjoyed the 24 hour tea amenity while reading my book. My daughter enjoyed the pool, and the laundry availability was great after over a week on the road. Breakfast was a nice assortment of grab-n-go with the added bonus of waffles."
"I was traveling for a two day class in Waterbury and found the Field Lodge by chance as I didn't really know the area too well. Before even checking in, I was thrilled with the service. It was a three hour ride and I was cutting it close to get there before 9:00 PM. I spoke with Zane and he assured me that he would either still be there or there would be instructions left for me. Upon arrival, he made sure everything worked from the key to the shower and let me know about coffee and breakfast as well as restaurants I might want to check out in the area. The room was great and the bed was comfortable with GREAT pillows. The only issue that was not a big deal was the shower stall being a little small. The cookies and bottled water in the room were a nice touch also. I will definitely be staying again when I travel back that way."
"Some was fresh, some were empty,at Breakfast when we arrived the floor hadn't been vacuumed,Staff was rude because I booked with a third party was not happy because I am disabled needed a tub had a shower wheel in shower almost slipped and fell the air conditioner worked out cooled the room.."
"We had no TV for our entire stay of 5 days and the staff was useless when it came to getting service. We had my 81 year old mother traveling with us so we really needed the TV."
"The property is under construction, so it is a bit odd and quite empty. The reception people were very good and the room was clean, though we had a temporary portable air conditioner. There was no refrigerator and the was inconvenient.
I think they all did the best they could with what they had."
