The property is very well maintained and decorated. The room and bathroom are very clean. It has two very nice common area with 2 big windows that made them bright and sunny and cozy. It's also along a major highway so it's easy to find.
The owners/operators of this hotel are very kind, thoughtful and accomodating to the needs of their guests. I especially and directly experienced their wonderful hospitality as a disabled person in a wheelchair. When I inquired about the accessibility of...
We were visiting friends in the area and there weren't a lot of hotel options. We were delighted to find this beautiful inn that had been closed for awhile after a fire that is just opening up to the public again. The manager, Duvia, was lovely and helpful. Our room, the Meadow Room, and the views from our window were breathtaking. The bed was comfortable. I slept like a rock! Breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes made to order) was delicious. West Townshend is a sweet town. We went to the lively...
STAFF
I want to start by pointing out that the staff at the hotel were above and beyond PHENOMENAL, and I mean ALL THE STAFF.
I spent the weekend up there and got stuck with some car problems in a blizzard and dealt with everybody on the staff there. They were some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with in the hospitality industry.
When I say all the staff, I mean all the staff!
DAY 1. The plow guy helped me get my car out of a spot when my snow chain broke and I couldn’t move.
DAY 2...
The condo was wonderful. It looked into the woods. It was quiet and roomy. There was a dishwasher, washer and dryer, fireplace with free unlimited wood available, and a steam bath capability. Check-in personnel were friendly and cheerful in spite of the blizzard occurring outside. Checkout was unremarkable. Thanksgiving dinner at Table 43 was less than satisfactory. Our meals were cold. The waiter was very friendly, but inexperienced. About a mile away is the resort's Market Square. The ski lift...
Everything was not bad, due to Covid. So indoor Pool, sauna closed at 6pm, bar at 9! Big problem was with the room, they put me in totally different room as shown on the pictures, but big thanks guest check-in personal, they fix this problem.
Always love this location. Very convenient for our trips to Vt. Cell service in general is spotty. I really rely on the WiFi. That needs to be better in this hotel. It was not working while I was there.
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the four columns. Our room was beautiful as are the grounds. The end is surrounded by well keptGardens with lovely flowers and there are lots of places to sit outside and enjoy them. Staff was gracious. The breakfast delicious we used to live in Vermont and came back for a visit for a wedding and decided to stay at the Inn. We had eaten dinner there many times, but never had the opportunity to enjoy an overnight until now. We are so glad we came...
Loved the place, it’s old so full of charm and perhaps not so easy, stairs, rumpled flooring but I like such places. Had dinner which was very good, has a nice little pub as well. Everyone I encountered was pleasant.
Five stars for ambience, comfort, cleanliness. Very cozy common area and bar. Location is beautiful. Staff friendly.
I rated medium for condition as the place is old and clearly gets well used during ski season. HOWEVER, this is not ugly or bad as in a gross motel with broken stuff and dirt. The room was clean and nice and smelled fine, but the carpets were well worn and there is a lot of wear to the place in general. I did not want to leave too many stars on condition and have folks...
Arrived late and were greeted by 2 friendly associates at the desk. There were coffee, tea, hot cocoa, cookies, cheese and crackers available. A welcoming lobby with fireplace. Room was nice, comfortable and clean. Lots of outlets in room. Indoor pool was nice, clean, and heated. hot tub was very relaxing after days of skiing. Continental breakfast was very good and had a variety of choices. We were pleasantly surprised with our choice.
I had a very comfortable stay. No complaints.
Many great cable TV channels, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, My room had a river view (pictured).
