Meritel Hanoi is a beautiful hotel, with top notch service. However, the air conditioning kept going out in our room though the staff was quick to get it up and running again every time it went out. We also experienced ants in our sink, but again the staff was very prompt in getting it fixed. The Meritel advertises that it has soundproofed rooms, but this is not the case. It was a quick stay. Checking in and out was a breeze. Room was clean and the breakfast was pretty good. No complaints.
The location was a bit off from many of the main attractions. Nice if you are looking for something more secluded.

Short answer. Best place ever. I booked 4 nights here w my fiance as we are going through vietnam and ill be honest, when we first opened the door to our unit w the key, windows were open, it was 114 degrees outside, and all power was off until i clicked the switch. But my god the ac here is godsend. I found out later almost every place in vietnam has a system when you leave, to shut power off to avoid power surges.

If you are looking for a clean and friendly hotel located within walking distance of some of Hanoi's best attractions, look no further than Royal palace Hannoi Hotel. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with any request, night or day, and will make booking excursions or trips outside of the city a breeze. The beds and rooms are clean, and make you a very comfortable stay. Looking forward to the next time I can stay in this hotel!
Had a great stay at the Light Hotel starting from the friendly staff that took our luggage up to our room and a tour guide that helped us book tickets to get to Halong Bay the following day. The hotel is brand new so everything is sparkly and the attention to detail was top notch. Our favorite part was sharing a bottle of wine on the rooftop deck with a great view of the city.
Amazing staff everyone is so helpful and went above and beyond especially Fiona. It was close to many attractions. The spa was also pretty great. Breakfast was pretty tasty and that coffee… you won’t regret it!
