Location in Hanoi's old quarter is perfect for walking around and seeing the sights - it's only 5 minutes away from the lake with the temple and maybe 15 or so from the Hanoi beer street. Tons of shops in the area too. Rooms are clean, quiet and thoughtfully appointed. The staff are incredibly helpful and will bend over backwards for you also - Lily from the front desk gave me a thorough overview of the tour options for ha long bay and recommended one that was less crowded and more chill than the others, which was exactly what I was after.
