"I’m so glad I picked this hotel for my first visit to Cuenca. It’s got a great location in the historic part of town. The staff was wonderful from check-in, assisting with activities/cabs, room service, and meals. The included breakfast offered so many custom choices. I would definitely return to this property and highly recommend it."

"Excellent option for Cuenca. Comfortable and clean rooms, with great dining options. Breakfast was great!"

"A beautiful space in the heart of Cuenca! I really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff."

"Hotel Azul is in the most historic part of downtown across from lovely Plaza de San Sebastián. If you tell a taxis driver “Plaza de San Sebastián,” that’s all they need to know. Not a lot of traffic on this street but taxis on streets above & below. We stayed 9 nights in this small modest hotel and loved it. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Everything downtown is in easy walking distance & there’s lots to see. First floor is one flight up, but luggage assistance is available. "

"Excellent option to stay in Cuenca. Right in the center of the city you can walk everywhere. It also has a parking lot. Very nice boutique hotel, very clean and well decorated."

"Wonderful hotel located in the historic center of Cuenca. A short walk away from beautiful colonial cathedrals and churches, town squares, historic architecture and local restaurants. The hotel is beautifully preserved with modern facilities in each room. Excellent breakfast of fruit, eggs, and local produce served in an ornate dining room every morning. "

"Beautiful boutique hotel. Great, attentive staff. Clean, safe, quiet. Really good breakfast! 10/10 for sure"

"I did like the excellent service, the rooms are nice, comfortable, and very clean. Delicious food, and the hotel is located right in the heart of Cuenca. Will be back. Thank you. Marcelo Duran. "

"Clean, friendly people, nice location, safe, and hot water. I love Empanada, the hotel cat. She's so sweet. "

"Very nice good Location and clean "

"This has been one of the best experiences I have had at a hotel in the 40+ years of traveling. It is a very quaint hotel in the historic district of Cuenca. The beauty and charm jumps out at you as soon as you walk thru the doors. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. "

"The hotel in accommodations were fine the staff was good. My problem was the safety of the shower. The floor tiles were very slick to the foot. The shower doors were glass. I worked in a hotel and we had a guest die from slipping, falling through the glass, cutting himself and bleeding out. (in fairness, the guest was hammered drunk) I didn't shower there, and won't return for this reason alone."

"Bonito hotel , muy cerca del parque Calderón, muy limpio y el chico Andres muy servicial gracias."

"Clean, safe. Good location. Easy to get to. Clear instructions on how Casa Bolivar works. "

"The hotel is in the middle of downtown. Surrounded by restaurants and sights of the city. The location and price were ideal. The place even had a jacuzzi and pool. The price was so reasonable. The place is old and has a charming beautiful rustic look. "
