"Called landline for check in as property was unmanned. Was told to wait for a call back... so polite! Text message told me to enter room 3 and found Homeless man was in the bed.... told to go to other room, power point short circuited my phone charger. Owner arrived 1 hour later kicking out squatters from other rooms threatening to kill them if they come back. Crack heads next door kept me awake until 5am. Worst $135 ever spent, Bus shelter is a better option! "

"It was quiet, which is what I wanted, everything was clean especially the bathroom and kitchen, the only thing that I would change is having it as non smoking, because it did smell of stale smoke and our bed was two king singles put together."

"We stayed at the Stables cottage in Clarendon Cottages. I have been staying at the Dandenong Ranges for 20 years but I was extremely impressed with this place. Visually just gorgeous - attention to detail - and every effort made for a comfortable stay. The Stables is a twin bedroom cottage - with beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Our night included breakfast and our own private garden, cupboard with toys and games and even a decanter of port with glasses!! Just wow!! I will not hesitate to rebook...

"Well equipped property with all we needed for our 10 day stay. There are numerous good restaurants, cafes and bars locally. Middle Brighton rail station is a few minutes walk away which gives easy acces to Melbourne City centre, and the area is also served bu numerous local buses."

On arrival we chatted with Laurie for about 1/2 hr - great communication and quite a lot in common with us. Lots of plans to change how the venue and how it is used. On approach the accommodation looks in need of tlc but it’s happening. Our room was very comfortable and had all we needed for a nights stay."

"Overall stay was pleasurable. Nice cottage and quiet surrounds. Just a few things- Lucky key box was already open as we weren’t sent a code or check-in details. Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. No curtain to cover the window facing the loft bedroom which let the hot sun beam...
