"The hotel is a scam, first they didnt allowed me to check.in and asked for extra money, then the room was not even 50sqmt and it was shared wash room. Not worthy. Need my refund back. "

"I have traveled the globe and have been in some uncomfortable accomodations, but this was easily the worst, grossest place I've ever stayed. My room had stains on the bed, on the walls, around the bathroom. They used this really strong chemical pesticide for the roaches (gross) that smelled so bad of chemicals. They masked the smell with perfumed aerosols and it was even worse! If you're prone to headaches or allergic to perfumes, be warned. It was so bad I asked for a partial refund so I could...

"It was located near the India Gate, so it was convenient for sightseeing. There was no elevator, but the staff helped me carry my luggage, it was helpful."

"I had one of the better rooms and more expensive in a very poor hotel. Involved two flights of steep stairs before an old lift. Shower was a wall outlet, no surround. I could not recommend."

"I was skeptical about this hotel when first viewing it online. I had been to India before and burned by photos that do not represent current conditions at the hotel. That was not the case at Majlis. The hotel is not new and shows its age, but it is really good by local standards. The general neighborhood is also safe and vibrant, and includes plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walk. The roof top bar choices were limited but the view makes up for that. Good choices for breakfast and served between 7.30 and 10.30 which is useful. "

"The rooms were clean and fairly spacious, and it's located less than 20 minutes' walk from several major Mumbai attractions. In addition the staff were very helpful, arranging for (among other things) us to change to local SIM cards while we were there. Breakfast was fine, though not brilliant, and the price was pretty reasonsble."
