The location was perfect, right in the middle of the old town (be prepared to walk your luggage from pkg garage about 8-10 minutes). It had 2-levels of roof deck, the top from which you could watch gorgeous sunsets with a glass of wine (and slice of pizza from Pizza Cut!!) The room was spacious. These were the plusses.
I wouldn't say there were minuses that affected our stay, just a few odd things worth mentioning. This "boutique" hotel was quirky in that it was a new-ish build in an old, old stone building, which was really cool to be staying in. But the inside aesthetic was just off. It was as if someone said to a variety of decorators, "think of an old-world style" yet none of them talked to each other, resulting in an odd mixture of furniture, artwork, wall treatments, fixtures and colors. The construction was odd with different platforms and steps in weird places (probably because of the old building which is fine), but it also seemed done on the cheap. Our bathroom (the design completely different from everything else) had a plumbing/draining issue outside shower which was evident as the door (coated in a plastic layer) was peeling at the bottom and you could see that the door frame and trim was cut away and replaced about 8" up from the door to the shower. Further you could tell the floor in that same area had been replaced. With that said, it was clean. The front desk staff was nice, although not always knowledgable (settling parking) or communicating with cleaners.
