Long story short, the manager smiled in my face while telling me that he absolutely would not refund me anything for a room that was no longer needed. This was despite a phone conversation four days prior. He said it was an issue with hotels.com. I talked with hotels.com, and they were willing to make the adjustment. He was not.
Additionally, neither of the key operated locks on the exterior of the building used to access the second and third floors work. Literally anybody can access the interior of the building, any floor, at any time. Clearly management prioritizes saving money at every turn, even when it compromises customer service and safety.
