Terrible service, I don't recommend this hotel.
We expected that having the Meliá name it would be according to some minimum standard.
We had a short layover in Madrid.
I've called the front desk to have us collected, waited for almost 40 minutes and it never showed up.
We arrived at the hotel, a flight was cancelled and we had to queue for another 30 minutes for the check -in.
When we got to the front desk, the attendant (who tried to be very nice) told us that if we had a reservation, we should have gone straight to the front of the queue...
So why no one was calling out for customers with a reservation?
Breakfast buffet was OK, but not very appetitive, for example the scrambled eggs were overcooked and almost green.
So, my conclusion, even for a short layover, pay more for a hotel.
