We picked this hotel bc it was close to Yankee Stadium & bc they have a parking lot. Big mistake. We should have stayed outside the city & took the train in. This neighborhood was gross, rundown, and loud. The hotel was quite grungy. The housekeepers just spray a lot of cleaner in each room to make it smell clean (you could barely breath from how thick it was) but it was dirty. There are no slide locks, chain locks, or deadbolts inside the rooms. We had 3 couples staying in 3 rooms & everyone had to create a way to lock our doors from the inside to keep people from being able to just come in our rooms. All night long doors opened & closed & they were big, heavy, fire doors so it was loud. We aren't sure if it had to do with prostitution or drug sales but there was definitely something creepy going on. In the middle of the night a woman started yelling & screaming, but we were all too scared to leave our rooms to find out what was going on. I laid awake most of the night afraid for all of our lives & worrying about our car. Terrible night, worst hotel I have ever stayed at, scariest night of my life! Avoid this place like the plague. Everything about this hotel is gross, weird, and scary. If we don't all get our identities stolen by the front desk clerk who took photo copies of all of our driver's licenses, it'll be a complete miracle. I even froze my credit card after using it there. Hotels.com should consider not even letting this place advertise on their website.
