This hotel had eight stars on hotels.com. I’m not sure how it’s even on hotels.com?! I got there at 7 PM to check in and the computers were all shut off. The lady had to turn them on and didn’t know the passwords for the computers themselves. Once she got help and got the computer turned on she couldn’t figure out the software to book me in. She went and got help for that as well. 15 minutes later I’m still standing there. I gave her my credit card to pay and the credit card machine didn’t work. She asked me if I had cash. I did not. She gave me the room key so I could check in before going to get the money.So I left and went to an ATM machine and came back and gave her a cash payment. When I gave her the cash, she gave me a different room key and said the room she had given me had a heater that did not work. It’s 30° outside so that is important. So I went to the other room and the only lights that worked was the light over the door when you walk in and the light inside the bathroom. No lights inside of the actual room turned on, however, the heater did work. The bed mattress was maybe 4 inches thick and I’m not joking. In the morning when I went to take a shower, I pulled up knob to make the shower work and only about four streams of water came out of the showerhead. In fairness, the room was $50 so I wasn’t expecting much. I travel for a living and I stay in cheap hotels a lot, but this one was perhaps the worst room I have ever stayed in. Easy fixes, just lazy management.
