This review was more about Expedia failing to know that the hotel was already fully booked, but still sent me a reservation confirmation. The owner of the hotel was very apologetic, and he said he would try to find us a suitable hotel to stay at, since his hotel, the hotel Gioi, was already fully booked. It was a Saturday, almost every hotel in Sorrento was fully booked, so my wife and I drove to another area 30 miles away that we could stay the night.
To top things off, my credit card was charged the full amount for the room we never got, and now I will have to try and claw those charges back, because there never was a room available for us. Again, nothing against the hotel Gioi at all, it was Expedia's fault to allow a booking when the rooms were already fully booked!
