The rooms looked as advertised. Great price. Really helpfull staff. Really nice ameneties.
Unfortunately, the rooms suffer a lot of condensation issues. We tried to keep windows open and the bathroom fan on at all times but still woke up with water on the windows. It seems to be a persistent problem as there seemed to be moisture damage along the wooden details around the window. On our last night we stayed an extra night in another room and the issues persisted there, despite there being a de-humidifier in the room. I suspected there might be mold in the bathroom, but I could not say for sure - it smelled really wierd though and it was really difficult to ventilate the water vapour after taking a shower. It was not a cleaning issue as the rooms where well maintained and tidy. I suspect it's a buildning/insulation issue and lack of proper ventilation. I went back to look at old reviews as this place was quite highly rated, and the reviews seemed a few months old, so maybe this is a new issue.
All and all, a hotel with a lot of potential, great placement, nice layout and helpful staff - but unfortunately it was our least favourite stay in Japan.
