I love how Margaritaville resorts stick to their theme—it’s a fun, consistent experience. The room was spacious, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was great. However, there was no desk, which made it hard to get any work done.
Check-in was frustrating. I was told to stop by the concierge for coupons, but it felt like a timeshare pitch. The staff member talked nonstop about things I wasn’t interested in while my husband waited in the car after a long drive. Some guest-focused training would help.
Another issue: my 51-year-old husband wasn’t served a drink at the pool because he didn’t have his ID—despite clearly being over 21. He had to go all the way back to the room, which was just ridiculous.
The lazy river was small, and the infinity pool looked nice but had rough pieces at the bottom that hurt my feet. On the bright side, the free hot breakfast was excellent.
Overall, the stay was okay, but I wouldn’t return based on our experience.
