We stayed two nights at this property, it is not a hotel at all, it is rooms for stay. The location is not in a great part of Middletown and looks nothing like the outside photo that is in the listing, and I was not comfortable leaving the property by myself. The first night we returned back, the front door to the building was wide open, we were scared to enter the building, and someone was parked in our designated space. I immediately contacted Expedia and they were not able to reach Norman. He did reach out the next day of our stay and said “All tenants always close the door and lock it” which was clearly not the case, and that “there are cameras on the property for safety.”
The room itself was very clean. The bedding and pillows were soft, small amount of toiletries in the bathroom, and the kitchen was stocked with utensils/dishes, bottle opener, ironing board/iron and a small amount of towels (2). There were no bathrobes as stated in the listing. I had to reach out multiple times to ask where the light switch was for the lights above/next to the bed. The ones above worked, the ones next to the bed did not, and my husband had to move the bed to find the switch behind the headboard.
The “tenant” above us was very noisy even though there are quiet hours listed in the check in email. They were pacing the floors until 3am both Saturday & Sunday night. Spend the extra money for a hotel, the $179 property fee is exorbitant and the “restaurant/bar” is under the rooms.
