A lovely, clean, modern hotel.
The hotel is on a main road and is ideally situated just outside the city centre and around 5 minutes from the racecourse. It’s about £5 in a taxi to both.
The room we booked had plenty of room and was very clean and modern.
I had looked up the hotel before we booked and found that the car parking is behind the building on Weston Terrace and is charged at £20 per day. The electric chargers were out of service though.
We got back to our hotel at night and had to work out how to get in. The front door closes at 10 and there didn’t appear to be any staff working. So we had to go around to the back of the building to get in.
When you check in you’re escorted to your room. Don’t think that the receptionist has left her drink in your room! It’s a complimentary water along with a flask of milk for the provided tea and coffee.
The Wi-Fi is free and very easy to connect to. Use it to connect the TV too.
We slept really well. However, the room was quite warm and the windows only open slightly.
Overall this was a really good stay during races week and we would happily come back.
