I've stayed here twice in the past two months and loved both times. I did prefer the Family King (with a small deck out front and only sharing one wall with the neighboring unit) over the Economy Queen (one basic room in a bigger building with multiple units). But both options offer everything I needed as someone who visits Idyllwild solely for the hikes: A comfortable bed, a mini-fridge and microwave, a bathroom with a decent shower, and most importantly, some peace and quiet away from the main part of town.
I found both rooms to be clean enough and well stocked/supplied. I really like that the floors are not carpet. The whole property is extremely pet friendly, which is bonus +100 points. I didn't really need any of the additional amenities, like the fire pits or the sports courts, but I saw people make great use of them. Didn't eat at the restaurant either, but there were people.
