Learn more about Idyllwild
High in the San Jacinto Mountains, this alpine retreat offers a refreshing escape from Southern California's coastal bustle. Tahquitz Peak and Suicide Rock draw serious climbers, while hikers can access the Pacific Crest Trail directly from town. The village center surprises with its thriving arts scene - galleries showcase local talent amid pine-scented air. After conquering trails at Idyllwild Park, refuel at family-owned cafes where locals debate nearby hiking routes. Mount San Jacinto State Park provides dramatic vistas that explain why this area remains largely undeveloped. Come evening, the Idyllwild Nature Center offers exceptional stargazing opportunities. Unlike many mountain towns, you won't find ski lifts here - just pure outdoor adventure and small-town authenticity.

Miracle Springs Resort & Spa
"Everything is OK"
The Saguaro Palm Springs
"I had a great time. I just don’t like that there wasn’t an elevator near the center quad area to reach 2nd and 3rd flea. You had to walk all the way to the end of the hallway. Other than that it was fun."
The Dunes Hotel
"The hotel location was great - walkable from downtown. The hotel vibe was great too and rooms were nice and newly renovated. Really captured the Palm Springs vibe ✨ Only thing to mention which was actually very annoying was the noisy and loud A/C - too hot to turn off and too loud while running. It was hard to get some sleep"
Homewood Suites by Hilton Cathedral City Palm Springs
"My home away from home when in Palm Springs area. Gorgeous view, relaxed gathering spots. Great walking paths. Best dog park ever. But the staff is my favorite. Front Desk, Sales, Housekeeping- all wonderful people."
Hilton Garden Inn Palm Springs - Rancho Mirage
"It's Hilton, always good. Couldn't ask for better considering the price. Property was to be as expected . Parking was challenging since most of it was in the rear. Carpets could use some attention but overall I'd stay there again. And this coming from a former Hilton maintenance staff member ."
The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa
"We had a very nice experience at The Westin Rancho Mirage overall. The resort has a beautiful environment, and the pool area was perfect, especially for families with kids. Our kids really enjoyed the arcade in the evenings, which was a great way for them to have fun after spending the day at the pool. The main disappointment was the additional resort and parking fees that appeared on our final bill. We were not informed about these fees during check-in, so it was frustrating to see the extra charges at the end of our stay. I think these fees should be clearly explained to guests when they check in. We stayed on the first floor of Building 7, and another issue was the noise from the room above us. Early in the morning, we could clearly hear the upstairs guests walking, and the noise was loud enough to wake us up. It may be related to the age or construction of the building. Despite these issues, our overall experience was great. We really enjoyed the resort, the pool, and the relaxing atmosphere, and most importantly, our kids had a wonderful time. We would consider staying here again."
Idyllwild Inn
"Everything was great, the only downside was that my room smelled like mildew making it hard for me to sleep. The morning after we opened the door and windows to air out and it was better."
Hyatt Palm Springs
"Great location, hotel needs updating"
Tahquitz Pines Retreat
"The room was very clean. The property itself was well maintained and beautiful. Would definitely go back for another stay."
