The hotel is situated on the only road in and out of the beach area in Taormina. There was a lot of noise from the traffic (including motorcycles, buses and trucks!), so sitting on the balcony (overlooking the water) wasn't very relaxing - but the view (water view room) was spectacular.
Our room had 4 single beds (for 3 of us), a desk, small fridge and a small closet. It was really cramped but fine for sleeping. The room and bathroom were clean. We didn't partake in the breakfast, nor the "private beach" (that is only accessible by a very busy, long, stone staircase leading from the road to the beach). The beach area was really crowded (and we visited late September!) and very small, but scenic.
On the main road, there were plenty of little cafes, restaurants and mini-markets nearby, and the cable car into the old city of Taormina is just a 5-minute walk away.
We enjoyed our time in Taormina, but if we return again we would try to find a hotel that is in a quieter area and not on a busy road.
