The hotel is definitely a 3 star. We emailed the hotel ahead of our arrival to request a ground or first floor room, the reply back came across as if we were bothersome, saying our room had already been allocated. On arrival at the hotel, our impression wasn’t a good one as we were met outside the main reception doors with cigarette smoke, this was because it was the designated smoking area. On check-in the receptionist acted as if she was reading from a script and wasn’t particularly welcoming. We found the room clean, fresh and tidy with plenty of fresh soft towels and toiletries in the bathroom, also a fan which was most welcome as there was no air conditioning and the weather was hot. We found the bed all be it a standard 4’6”, nice and comfortable and had a good night sleep. There was a tray with a kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room which was welcome after a long trip. On the whole it was an okay place to spend a night.
Improvements we would suggest for the room would be a complimentary bottle of water, electric power points either side of the bed for charging mobile phones etc and a mini fridge to store medication, fresh milk and any drinks someone may have.
The hotel it’s self is in need of modernizing especially the bathroom
