I agree that the hotel will not win any prizes for its decor. It is a basic hotel, however our room on the ground floor (disabled access) was large and clean. Regular rooms however are smaller. The bathroom is large enough. Two sinks. A shower with good pressure, sufficient hot water and a shower curtain to prevent too much splashing. The doors to the bathroom, I must confess, leave a lot to be desired. They are accordion (folding) type cheap plastic doors. Some of the attachments to the top runners were broken and we feared to open and close them fully for fear of further damage. The hotel should consider replacing these with a permanent glass partition, at least on the shower end.
The bed was very comfortable. Only one pillow per person, but the housekeeping staff amiably produced another one on request. TV was adequate, and had the possibility of using your own USB memory key if you didn't want to watch French TV.
Only con I found is the lack of drawer space for folded clothes as we were there for a week and ended up livin out of a suitcase.
The hotel was convenient for us but may not be convenient for travellers without a vehicle who need to be closer to tourist facilities. There is a Lidl close by for croissants etc., but not much else within easy walking distance.
Tip for guests with vehicles - be careful getting out of the property as the exit gate does not give a good, clear view of traffic on the main road.
