Overall the place is nice and clean, in a great location, and with a very good shower.
But there were a few very peculiar things:
- We got the room on the 3rd floor, which is the only one on that floor, and the lift just opens straight into the room, no door. It's incredibly bizarre and feels unsafe (for example, if we were to call the elevator right after another guests enters it on the 2nd floor, they would end up right in our room).
- There's no "do not disturb" sign or any way to tell them not to come in. Our first morning we were woken up by the cleaner. One day when we were leaving and I asked the receptionist to not come up today, she said she would have to pass through our room to get to something?
- They have the usual signs claiming to be eco-friendly and to only clean and change towels every 3 days or upon request, but they still cleaned and changed towels almost every day, even when we explicitly asked them not to.
- Our first night there was a power outage at 3am, which led to our room being flooded with light from the emergency light which is inside the room - there was no way to turn it off so we couldn't sleep for several hours. When I talked to them the following morning their solution was to put tape over the light, but there was only a half-hearted "sorry" (most places would at least offer some token compensation after something like that)
