Mixed Experience at the Marriott Hotel in Philadelphia
I recently stayed at the Marriott Hotel in Philadelphia and had an overall mixed experience. While the hotel offers some truly positive aspects, several issues with the room made the stay less comfortable than I had hoped.
To start, the room itself appeared noticeably old and in need of updating. The outlets located near the beds were of particularly poor quality — they emitted a faint hissing sound throughout the night, which was both concerning and disruptive to sleep. Additionally, the bathroom shower seemed misaligned, causing water to spray onto the floor every time it was used, creating an unnecessary mess and safety concern. The carpet in the room also looked as though it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in several years, leaving the impression that upkeep may be lacking.
On a brighter note, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast offered each morning was excellent, with a variety of high-quality options that exceeded expectations. The valet team also deserves recognition — they were prompt, helpful, and provided exceptional service.
With some updates to the rooms and improvements to maintenance, this hotel could offer a truly great experience. For now, the older room conditions may be a drawback for guests seeking comfort and peace of mind, but the outstanding
