The staff were all lovely, incredibly friendly and easy to speak to, the instructions they gave us were very clear on how to get to the room and where to go for breakfast. My partner and I were staying for our 9 year anniversary and they very kindly left us a little note wishing us a happy anniversary & 2 mini cheesecakes which were very tasty, so many many thanks for that incredibly kind gesture :)
The room itself was well presented, nice and clean and a very large bed which we appreciated - the room itself was a little smaller than expected but this didn’t impact our stay whatsoever.
We did have a few issues with the room however - the handle was breaking off the toilet door, making us afraid to close it fully for fear of the handle coming out, the window made a trumpeting sound every time the wind blew (which it did quite a bit given the weather, but my main issue was the pillows; absolutely no neck support whatsoever, they first appeared as though they would be nice and fluffy, but the moment you laid on them they flattened like a pancake and made sleep impossible, I didn’t get to sleep until around 2am with how uncomfortable I was. I didn’t know how to go about resolving this issue as I’d never experienced anything like it before and didn’t get a chance to bring it up with reception when checking out as the check out process seemed a little rushed.
