⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
I stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton last night and had a mixed experience.
Check-in started off a bit stressful. I wasn’t aware ahead of time that a card was required and that cash wasn’t accepted, which caused some initial confusion. Once that was sorted, I was surprised by how quickly additional fees added up—pet fee, parking, and other charges. The stay was already on the expensive side, so the extra fees on top of that were disappointing and made it feel less transparent than expected.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated. Breakfast was actually a highlight—fresh, well-stocked, and with a good variety of options. There’s also a snack area available for convenience, though items are understandably overpriced. That said, the hotel is centrally located, so there are nearby places like Walgreens where you can grab snacks if you prefer.
One of the biggest letdowns was that the jacuzzi was not working. This was the main reason I booked the stay—I was really looking forward to relaxing and having some quiet time, especially around the holidays—so that was a major bummer.
I do want to give credit to the overnight staff member, Star. She was kind, checked in on me, and genuinely tried to help when I explained how frustrated I was. Her attitude and willingness to listen definitely made the situation a little easier.
