Hilton Vacation Club Los Abrigados Resort & Spa Sedona
6/10 Okay
"Neglegted maintenance of the suite we stayed in. Old appliances, refrigerator not keeping food and beverage cold even on max setting. Slow bathtub drain. Caulking around tub coming off in chunks, moldy. Location of Hilton Los Abrigados resort was great, walkable to a few restaurants. Timeshare presentation with free gifts was strongly offered twice...upon checkin and the day before checkout even after we said at the beginning that we were not interested in sitting thru a timeshare sales pitch."
"We had a great stay at this hotel! The lazy river was one of the highlights of our trip—clean, relaxing, and a lot of fun. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out, always willing to help with a smile. The overall atmosphere made our stay enjoyable, and we would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!"
"Friendly staff, excellent pools, great gym (up to 75lbs dumbbells, peloton bikes, plenty of tread mills, and cross fit cable machine). I have been visiting this location for a few years now, the Mountain View rooms are the best!"
"This property features a spectacular location with amazing views, but the rooms need updating and are rough.
We dealt with a lot of challenges checking in at 4pm (which is listed check in time), and had to wait in the lobby until 5pm for the room we paid for. Pretty awful after we drove for 5 hours to get there. The check-in experience was overall very poor.
They agreed to remove the resort fees for inconvenience which they then messed up and added more, I still ended up with 3 resort fees on my bill, only 2 of which have been credited. They did try to compensate with 20% off food and drink coupons... (nothing free).
The room was one of 4 different hotels we stayed at in AZ and was the worst of them all. Lobby/reception did not smell good (like a clogged drain/sewer issue) - this was also found in hallways at times, but not in room.
Carpet in our room was wrinkled like it had been very wet, tiles were coming off in shower area, dead cockroach in the bathroom light, mismatched light switches and switch plate, wood areas around coffee maker very worn/beat-up. Cabinets showed spray of cleaning products that were never wiped. All of this made the room feel cheap and poorly maintained.
Our room was never cleaned, or any new towels provided (I used a pool towel to shower with). We tried to call front desk/reception for towels but were met with a full voice mail box... ugh. For a resort this size, they need to do better.
The views around the property are unique."
"It was a very nice room. The decor was inviting and it was very clean. I gave it a “good” rating overall because the pool opens late and closes really early. It was a bummer since that didnt give a lot of time to enjoy. Not a huge deal but once the pool opened, myself and other guests went straight in. About 15 minutes after, we were told that we needed to vacate the pool so they could clean it. Seemed like a very inconvenient time. Vending machines are crazy expensive. The small coffee machine was in the bathroom right next to the toiled, which I found highly unhygienic. Wouldn’t use it anyway but still seems wrong to put it in the bathroom next to the toilet. Overall, it was okay for the price."
